Any good horror movies with blood and gore preferrebly?
I love watching horror movies but haven't seen any good ones recently. I was advised to watch Wolf Creek, Turistas, Captivity and Prom Night lately. They are all bad except for Wolf Creek which has really good acting!!! But it ticked me off how Wolf Creek received a higher MPAA rating than the Saw series (which are my favourite). There isn't much gore in saw is people who havent' watched it think, but boy do they have good twisted ending!!! Anyway, I have seen the following:
28 days+weeks later
Turistas
Captivity
Prom Night
Ruins
1408
The Descent (very chilli and good)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Halloween
Saw I-V
Hostel 1 & 2, exorcism of emily rose and a few more.
The thing is that I like movies that are more like saw, Hostel, Rest stop.
Also if you are easily grossed out please do not suggest anything. I haven't seen movies like the house of 1000 corpses, wrong turn and a few others. Also I don't want movies before 1990 if they are trying to have gore in it. I bought Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 coz it's sale was banned and the film rejected by Australia coz it was apparently too scary and gory. Please come on it looks like they used chewing and paint to achieve the cuts and wounds in that film!!! So please tell me something really good. Just remembered I have also seen Ring and See no evil. Is the grudge any good?? I have seen The Eye too!!! Thanx a lot for your help guys. Hopefully the next 0 I spend on movies will be worth it!
There is also this movie called Insanitarium. I saw it at the DVD store the other day but it's . If anyone has seen it, is it good and worth to buy??
Don't worry about the sound. I only ever watch movies after 11 p.m when every1 is asleep, in my room on my wide screen laptop, with this absolutly incredible SONY headphones Also to get the best out of the movie, just coz it really makes it good, I leave my window door bathroom door and clost open. One time during The Descent I was so concentrating on the film that I didn't notice it was raining and during this suspensful scene, this HUGE thunderstrike struck!!! I should have gone into schock...LOL. Anyway thanx guys especially the 2 top contributers ( I can see why)....keep them answers coming

pathology …..
you will remember it…
Jeeper Creepers is bloody.
Also The Night of The Living Dead is pretty bloody.
And a movie called Boo.
30 days of Night. enough blood and gore to fill up a football stadium. and it still was a good horror movie
Nightmare on elm street is an oldie but its an amazing movie.
ok, first off don’t spend $30 on Insanitarium – it isn’t even worth wasting bandwidth watching it online. If you want real OTT gore post 1990 then you have to check out the August Underground series. Mordum is easily the most disgusting thing I have seen so far with Penance running a close second. The Guinea Pig series from Japan is the only thing that comes close to August especially Flowers of Flesh and Blood and Mermaid in a Manhole – the other 4 are laughable. But they are from the 80′s and subtitled. Masters of Horror: Imprint is well worth seeking out. Men Behind the Sun is the only gore movie to depict actual events which for me makes it about the most disturbing movie here.
OH MY GOSH YOU HAVEN’T SEEN 30 DAYS OF NIGHT!!!! WHERE’VE YOU BEEN. Okay go to fearnet (on demand on cable) or go to youtube and type in 30 days of night Blood Trails and watch that (it’s independent/lowbudget prequal to the movie, but it’s GREAT. I JUMPED EVERYTIME. which i don’t ever do) okay so watch those six 4 minute clips and if you like that (and it has loads of blood) then watch 30 days of night the movie. (but it’s kinda slow if you dont’ crank up the volume. Like have good enough sound so that say in another movie you can hear insignificant sounds like a cricket that has nothing to do with anything. If you have it like that then you won’t know what’s going on and I’m telling ya you’ll be freaked. I’m trying to recreate the IMAX experience for you if you have that. My friend’s got a movie dvd projector with great sound so… but it might be slow and boring for regular tv/dvd. Everyone I’ve watched it with on regular sound they didn’t jump at all or get scared. I freaked b/c that was the first time I’d seen vampires like that with no mercy and stuff.
Dog Soldiers is good, I watched that during the day by myself and was freaked out and again i don’t get scared but it gets kinda long winded towards the end.
Wrong turn is GREAT. AND SCARY. The Grudge is GREAT, but I saw it at the movies. I felt like I’d gotten out of a club or off a rollercoaster that’s how much I jumped so, not sure how it’ll turn out watching it on dvd. AGain have a great sound system just to make sure.
If you haven’t seen Scream then don’t know what to tell ya. I’d see Nightmare on Elm Street just saw it b/c it was my all time terror as a kid and i must say it’s the best out of all the horror slasher 80s guys (Jason comes second. See all of those!!! before Jason X then Michael Myers)
I know you don’t wanna see pre 1990 stuff but Candy Man (oh that’s after 1990) is great!!!! And Alien and Aliens 2 are GREAT b/c it’s terror building. Think of someone with a blanket that is squeezing the hell out of it b/c they can’t tell when the monster’s gonna pop out, that’s what these movies did
Deaths of Ian Stone was the only new one from the Horrorfest I’ve watched I reccomend that!!!
Land of the Dead is one of the most disgusting movies I have ever seen, but it is also quite good.
hey folks… good answers and most of them horror movies are cool.. that is unless you have seen Slaughtered Vomit Dolls.
Now that movie is basically what the name says.. is a new genre in horror films and nothing comes close… well, untill its sequell came out last year (hmm… or was it this year) anyway.. ReGOREgitated Sacrifice is now out too and if blood, guts some nudity (but tasteful) and real puking fits your desire to witness a real horror film.. then this is it… No doubts, at all, ever.
Saying this as a warning, its not for any horror, bloodthirst kinda fan, but do try it… you might impress yourself… well maybe not… lol
youtube.com has some trailers of both, but its maybe like 2% – 5% of the hardcore strength of the film.
If anyone disagree’s with me, please advise as im looking for more too.
Lucifer Valentine is a true producer and has set a bench mark for the horror film arts i dont think many are game to follow.
