blue switch or solenoid on Husqvarna chainsaw?

I was cleaning the air filter on a 246 Husqvarna chainsaw ,theres a half round blue switch or solenoid under the filter right to the left of the choke lever.This half round blue box or switch or whatever has a red wire running to the coil.Can anybody tell me what this is and what its for?Ive worked on lots of saws,but never saw one of these before.Thanks for any help.

    Looks as if you need a user manual. I bet you could see one at Husquvarna's web site at husqvarna.com

    That's the switch that turns the saw off in an emergency.
