Can someone help me find piston rings for a Jonsered 630 chainsaw?
I have a Jonsered 630 chainsaw from the mid 1980s that needs new piston rings. I found the schematics for a 630 and it gave me the part number for rings. The difference was that the schematics showed one ring, but my saw uses two rings. I used the part number I bought the new rings and they didn't fit...they were too thick. Does anyone know what rings will fit my saw?

Look in the phone book under small engine repair.Call them and explain your problem and they should be able to order a set of rings for it.I would imagine during the production run they did a change and didn't correct the schematic they sent with the saw.All my part books are packed away or i would look it up for you.
Instead of spending all the time and money trying to fix a 20+ year old chain saw, why don't you junk it and buy a new one? Chances are that the cylinder is so worn that a new set of rings will not solve your problem.

This shows (two) piston rings.
