Chainsaw carb problem? Clogged fuel line?
where does the other end of the line go on a homelite gas powered saw? i took off the end that attaches to the carb. the other end must go into the gas tank somewhere, but there's too much stuff in the way to see exactly where it goes. i blew air into the line that goes into the carb & a few seconds later the gas came out the same end- does that mean anything? all else looks good - there's spark, fresh gas & clean air filter. why won't it start? thank you.

what has probably happened is your fuel line has gotten brittle and snapped off at the inside of your tank this is a very common problem with chain saws and weed whackers
try a bicycle pump blow out the jets or compressed air line
The end in the fuel tank has a filter on the end of it. Bend a small hook with a piece of wire and you’ll be pull it out. replace the filter.
‘daffy’ is gettin’ down to business.
The filters on chainsaws is a super fine porous material (almost like a stone) and they get jammed up from all kinds of stuff.
Take the old one in with you to make sure you get the correct replacement.
