Does anyone know the best chainsaw under $200?
I need to get a chainsaw to cut down trees and make firewood. Anyone think one chainsaw is better than the rest? The only brands I know are Poulen, Stihl, Ryobi, Remington. Which one is the best under 0? Thanks

poulan chainsaws are pretty good, you can get a 16” at home depot for about 150
Try to find a refurbished Husqavarna. Even if it is refurbished it’ll still come with a year warranty or so.
i have a phobia of chainsaws.
the one my 2 year old son has! it was only $10 at walmart…oh wait, that doesn’t have a real chain…darn.
check out sears–craftsman is cheap, but maybe not necessarily the best of the best, but it will do the job! good luck.
I bought a new Stihl for around 159.00 but it is too small for the real big stuff. It does work well though.
You my friend are looking for a Poulen.
go for a used-traded in- Husqavarna. there are lots of sizes but don’t get the small ones as they are made by yucky poulan. you won’t be sorry.
You scare me. I was cutting over 80 cords of wood a year with my father. What would you think of a brain surgeon who did not want to spend more than a grand on the equipment on your operation. Like many things in this country people should get some training before going out and jumping into things. First question what are you cutting? How large? How much? A little, small stuff and occasionally then look at electric it simplifies things. If you must the best return on your money is STIHL. Look at hearing protection eye shield and safety chaps. wear gloves and even if you do not want to believe me go to the library (you are on a budget) and at least read up on using chainsaws. We just lost somebody who uses them for a living and he had been doing it for years
