How do you fix a starter cord that won’t recoil on a Poulan chainsaw?

I have hardly used it.

    sometimes a pull too hard at the end of the rope will lock it . (1)try loosening the housing just a little . (2)Take it back where you bought it if they have a repair person .Let them undue it and give a lesson in startup . Most every engine has a different quirk to it that will make it easier to start and less likely to mal function .

    go to a small engine repair shop they can sell you the parts you need
