my poulan pro. chainsaw will not start after the first tank of gas. if i let it cool down it seem to start.?

    I think you got good advice by the previous reponder.
    Many engines, have a heat protector built in, to prevent damage to the machine.
    Seems that’s what’s happening to you.
    Don’t run it as long, if possible, and as the man said, sit back and cool off yourself.

    The Poulan Pro is powered by a two cycle engine. This means that you add oil to the gasoline to lubricate the engine and keep it from overheating.

    If you use 4 cycle oil, or if you don’t add enough 2 cycle oil to the gas, it will overheat, and will not start again until it can cool down for a while.

    Check the owner’s manual for the correct oil to gas mix, and stay on that measurement. Should solve the problem.
