Stihl Chainsaw doggy when throtled?

Stihl Chainsaw Doggy when Throttled? After it idles for a short time and i squeeze the throtle it will die. New plug. Is it carb, or possibly reed valves. I am about to open ot up. Cleaned carb and looked ok. Thanks

    there is a couple of things that usually make this symptom. Cracked fuel line… fuel pump side of the carburettor pumps air through the cracked fuel line to the carburettor delivering interuped fuel supply starving the motor (this is most likely as material of Stihl fuel lines crack alot) Second is a blocked filter screen inside carburettor not allowing fuel into the bleed passages therefor starving the engine of fuel.

    sometimes its the filter, try starting it without the filter. on the styl stone cutting machine theres two little screws under the trigger, that you can turn either way for a better performance? maybe this will help

    Look for a screen at the exhaust. It gets a build up on it. Clean the screen. I use a wire brush.
