Texas chainsaw?

Has anybody seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning yet? Reviews I have read have slated it, but in my experience, reviewers don't know jack s**t about horror.

    As far as prequels go I thought it was actually pretty good…There was a lot of chainsaw action which I liked. Lots of blood and guts and people screaming. My only complaint is that Jordana Brewster played your stereotypical stupid horror movie chick. My room-mate and I nearly got thrown out of the movie theater because throughout the entire thing we were yelling at her to "Get a weapon!!!!"

    my friend said it was hecka scary. from her opinion, i think it is a great scary movie if you want to have nightmares or something.

    It sucks. you might get one or two thrills but it doesn't have that pizazz the original did.

    I didnt like the other Texas Chainsaw Massacre so Im not going to see the new one.

    YOU ARE RIGHT THEY DON'T KNOW JACKS*** ABOUT HORROR FLIX, THEY SHOULD LEAVE THE VIEWING TO THE
    FANS OF THE GENRE…SINCE ALL THEY DO IS CONDEMN IT!

    I thought it rocked. It had a lot more background on the family and Leatherface went straight medievel on everyone.

    Ok… here is the scoop… when I go to a horror movie, I expect for my blood to be pumping and my pulse to race a bit at the scary parts. I want to be swept into the story and jump at scenes that I don't expect..but what did I get? For my money I got a long, boring, yawning and purely rotten movie. I was hoping for more depth and not so much stupidity… if this was suppose to be scary and a good horror flick, I just didn't get it… I found some of the scenes actually laughable…. for a minute I forgot the movie was not a comedy but a horror movie… the cop was over the top in his acting… he started out strong, but progressed to just foolishness. Even though we all know that no one will survive in this movie, I just plain expected more from this prequel. Instead, what I ended up with was a waste of my time and money. I would of been better off taking a nap on a friday afternoon and saved my $5!
