Poulan makes very low quality, cheap saws for the mass market (like Home Depot). They are not highly rated. If you don’t do very much cutting they’ll work OK. When you read reviews of these saws, anyone who says they used them heavily generally gives them very low marks.
Stihl (pronounced steel) makes professional grade saws for people who make a living with a chainsaw. They are very highly rated and more expensive. They are extremely durable. You pay a bit more, but you get what you pay for.
Poulan.
They last forever, I’ve had mine for over 15 years, and many chains later.
Polan or styl is what I prefer. How ever my father has a homelite and a craftsman and he swears by them and they are less expensive.
