What is the best small, small engine to learn how to work on an engine?

What kind of small engine, like a chainsaw, weed-wacker, or what have you, is best to learn the basics of larger engines for cars or motorcycles. Any suggestion would be helpful, unless you're one of those people.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Briggs and Stratton. I would not even think of looking at week whackers and chain saws. They’re two-cycle, and the way you do that with a one-cylinder engine is pretty weird compared to a car.

A briggs is almost exactly like a car. They used to all be flatheads, but now there is some more variety. In fact, let’s just call it a generic lawn mower engine. If it’s a honda or a tecumseh or a Kohler, it’s basically just as useful.

Briggs & Straton – WAY EZ!

Old lawn mowers. Lots of people throw them out. 2 strokes and 4 strokes. Good luck and have fun.
