What is the right amout of psi for compression for a chainsaw be.?

I was wanting to buy a chainsaw for parts to fix my old homelite super xl automatic. The compression on the saw i am wanting to buy is 125 lbs. How long do you think that piston will last. What is the usual amout of pressure on compression on a brand new chainsaw. Thankyou.

That sounds like very good compression for a chainsaw..I’ve used chainsaws for yrs & yrs..It should last for yrs..if you use the proper oil & gas mixture. Also be certain to use the proper spark plug..If I remember my Homelite XL uses a cj8. I would leave that piston & cylinger together..If you tear it down..you may regret it..

Each pneumatic product has labe for PSI adjacent .which is small plate attach to the device.
