what style of tooth is best on a general purpose chainsaw chain.?
i have a husqvarna 365 special with a 24" bar, what is the best style of tooth for general purpose cutting, from railroad ties to falling fir and cedar trees? And let me know of any brands that you would recommend thanks.

Drew is right there is Stihl, made in germany, and Oregon, made in Oregon,Canada, and Brazil. Both are as good as they can be. It depends on what you want to cut for the style. Only professional loggers can buy chain without anti kickback bumpers. If you are going to do a lot of big stuff you may want skip tooth, so you don’t have so many teeth to sharpen. If you are going to do small stuff, you may want full house, more cutters. Actually the most important thing is knowing how to sharpen the cutters, and use good bar oil. Oh. don’t cut rocks.
It’s my understanding that all the chain sold in the usa is made by two companies, regardless of the name on it. Both are good. the standard chain is best all around, the only other option I’m aware of is the top sharpened, and it’s a specialty item for ripping etc.
