What type fuel do you put in a McCulloch chainsaw? Do you mix oil with reg. gas? If so what is the ratio?

    You need to read the manual. most small 2 strokes have a 32:1 ratio , 32 ounces of fuel to 1 ounce of oil. I've used all kinds of chainsaws and trimmers, that's the most used ratio I know of. And it's printed right on the bottle. Go to Wal-Mart and buy some. It's regular 87 octane gas and 2 stroke oil

    You need 2 stroke oil. Go buy some and read the directions. It is usually 1 bottle of oil per gallon of gas.

    half and half, or you can get 2 cycle fuel for it. Need to get a stihl won't have to mix it.

    Most small two stokes use a 16:1 regular gas:two-stroke oil. The oil is a special grade – motor oil will not do. A lot of the two-stroke oil cans put the ratios for various manufacturers right on their packaging.

    go down to your local small engine repair shop(look in the phone book) they sell oil in packets that mixes with 1 gal of gas and it does not matter what ratio your saw calls for.I will be safe for all small engine equipment saws weedeaters,hedge trimmers ect.

    Yup! Your chain saw is a 2-stroke, which means it uses regular gas with 2cycle oil to mixed together at a 40-1 ratio. Not just any oil, you need two cycle oil.

    go to the store and ick up a can of 1 galon mix and mix it with 1 galon of gas.it's that simple don't worry about the ratio that saw won't live long enough to care.

    Most used to be 32 : 1, but newer ones are 50:1. Which is a 2,6 oz bottle of 2 cycle oil for 1 gallon of gas. If you're not going to use it very often, add an ounce of Sta-bil to the can.

    There are more bad answers in the 9 I have read than good ones. Some saws operate on 50:1, some at 40:1 and it could be 30:1. When you find out the mixture for your saw, you can but the correct amount of oil in little plastic containers at any home store or hardware store.

    Teh chain saw has no sump, therefore the only oil it gets is out of the fuel mix. The wrong fuel mix will burn up your saw – go to a chain saw store and ask someone, I don't know if your McCulloch is a newer one or an older one.
